GAME DESIGNER
We are looking for a Game Designer to own the full game design process, from the first idea to live operations.
We work in-office, Monday-Friday, as a small team where communication is at the core of our success.
This is a hands-on design role. You’ll prototype mechanics, balance progression and economies, analyze player behavior, and ship improvements based on real data. If you love mobile games, enjoy solving gameplay problems, and turning ideas into polished player experiences, this is for you.
Responsibilities:
-
Own features from concept to launch, including research, prototyping, implementation, balancing, and post-launch improvements.
-
Build and iterate on levels, gameplay mechanics, progression, and content.
-
Design and balance progression, economies, and game systems using player data and playtesting.
-
Think deeply about pacing, difficulty, onboarding, retention, engagement, and long-term player motivation.
-
Analyze player behavior, identify opportunities, and turn insights into better gameplay decisions.
-
Work closely with engineering, art, and product in a small team where ideas move quickly from discussion to implementation.
-
Prototype, test, and iterate rapidly, keeping what works and improving what doesn’t.
Requirements:
-
3+ years of experience designing F2P mobile games.
-
Shipped at least one commercially successful mobile title from concept through launch.
-
Strong understanding of casual, hybrid casual, or mid-core game design.
-
Hands-on experience building game content and balancing systems using tools like Excel.
-
Strong understanding of player psychology, UX, progression systems, and F2P game economies.
-
Comfortable making decisions based on player data rather than opinion alone.
-
Self-starter who thrives in a small team, moves fast, and enjoys taking ownership.
-
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across disciplines.
-
Experience using AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, etc.) as part of your workflow.
-
Passion for mobile and F2P games.
Nice to have -
Experience running LiveOps and improving games after launch.
-
Comfortable analyzing game data independently without relying on dedicated analysts.
-
Experience working in startups or small teams (around 5 to 10 people).
-
Ability to create wireframes or early UI mockups to communicate ideas.
Benefits:
-
ESOP program (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) that gives you a real stake in the company’s success.
-
Relocation support
-
Company phone of choice & top-tier equipment
-
Competitive salary
-
Sponsored language courses
-
Modern office space with amenities, in the heart of Berlin
